A multi-media artist with careers as a jazz vocalist, video producer, and music educator at Berklee College of Music, Ruthie Ristich is an appreciator of beauty and harmony in all forms, and actively works to increase their presence in the world. Curiosity propels her to be a seeker of the beauty and truth that exists everywhere and in all of us.

Teaching

Private lessons are available to help develop breath support, relaxation and tone production techniques. Ruthie also works on repertoire and understanding style and form. Her belief is that the connection to our emotional body and communication through the voice in a natural way is a singer’s higher power. Ruthie has performed for decades as a solo jazz stylist, with groups ranging from duos to big band, swing vocal trio the Sisters of Swing, also covering blues, folk and pop-rock styles in clubs, colleges, on radio and TV, tours, and performance halls in the US and Europe.

Photography

Ruthie is a passionate amateur and especially enjoys close-up nature photography. She is looking forward to learning macro photo stacking and more about dark sky techniques.
